Privacy Policy

1. What we collect

When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and optionally a phone number and city. If you complete the Financial Health Score, we store your answers to compute your score. If you use the Virtual Portfolio, we store your simulated trades and balances — never real financial account details, because none are ever asked for.

We never ask for your PAN, Aadhaar, bank account, or trading account details for any feature on this site, and you should treat any email claiming to be from us that does as fraudulent.

2. Why we collect it

• Account & login — to identify you and keep your progress, streaks and Virtual Portfolio attached to your account.
• Email verification — a one-time code is sent to confirm the address is real and belongs to you, before the account becomes active.
• Certificates — your name is printed on any Academy certificate you earn, and a copy is emailed to you.
• Product improvement — aggregate, non-identifying usage patterns (which quizzes are popular, which lessons are skipped) to improve the platform.

3. How your password is stored

Passwords are never stored in plain text. They are hashed with bcrypt before being saved, which means even we cannot read your password — only verify a login attempt against the hash. If our database were ever compromised, your password would not be readable from it.

4. Cookies

We use one essential session cookie to keep you signed in. It is required for the site to function and is not used for cross-site advertising or tracking. If Google Analytics is enabled on this site, it uses its own standard cookies under Google's privacy terms.

5. Who we share data with

We do not sell your personal data. It is shared only with:

• Our email delivery provider, solely to send verification codes, welcome emails and certificates you have earned.
• Our hosting provider, which stores the database this runs on.
• Law enforcement, only if legally compelled to disclose specific information.

6. Your rights

You can request a copy of the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or request account deletion, by contacting us using the details below. We will act on a verified request within a reasonable time.

7. Data retention

Account data is kept for as long as your account is active. If you request deletion, we remove personally identifying information; some aggregate, anonymised records (such as total quiz attempts across all users) may be retained for statistics, since they no longer identify anyone.

8. Children

This platform is intended for users aged 18 and above, consistent with the legal age for opening an investment account in India. We do not knowingly collect data from minors.

9. Changes to this policy

If this policy changes materially, the "Last updated" date above will change and, where appropriate, we will notify registered users by email.
